A little about Ed Winn since the majority of the books in this section were written by him, Mr. Winn is a friend, lifelong Florida resident who grew up on the river has studied it and written about it for more than 50 years

Map indicates the population distribution throughout Florida in the year 1890 C.E. Different regions of Florida are indicated with having populations ranging from under 2 inhabitants per square mile to having up to 45 inhabitants per square mile.
